Start planning now for Windows 7 EoS in 2020

TD SYNNEX’s Microsoft team are urging resellers to start making plans and contacting customers ahead of the End of Support for Windows 7, which comes on 14 January 2020 and is therefore, now less than 10 months away.

  • Specialist team can help with every aspect of comms and planning.
  • Perfect time to get registered for CSP and start customer migrations to the cloud.

The team is ready to provide advice and expert support for resellers in communicating the importance of getting updated in good time – and making sure that customers make the right choices. Support for Exchange Server 2010 also ends at around the same time.

Dwayne Earl, Software Business Unit Manager at Tech Data UK, said: ‘Windows 7 EoS will be here very soon and resellers really need to start taking positive action now. All customers will need to upgrade to ensure that they are secure and that they get the best possible performance. The first thing they need to do is contact customers to establish how many are still using Windows 7. We can then start looking at what they need to upgrade to and setting out a migration plan.’

TD SYNNEX can help resellers with every aspect of the communications, assessment and upgrade plan. For many customers, this will be the ideal time to upgrade to Office 365 and start their migration into the cloud. TD SYNNEX has a comprehensive support programme that enables Microsoft resellers for the Cloud Solutions Provider (CSP) scheme through which all Microsoft cloud business is transacted.
